Gamify Learning, Poland 2026

Our organisation took part in an Erasmus+ international training course organised in Murzasichle, near Zakopane, Poland, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. The project gathered 32 youth workers from 10 countries: Hungary, Italy, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain and Türkiye.

The training course was dedicated to gamification and game-based learning in youth work. Its main aim was to equip youth workers, youth leaders and facilitators with practical tools to make learning more engaging, interactive and meaningful for young people. Participants discovered how methods based on play can support personal development, creativity, inclusion and active participation.

Throughout the programme, participants learned the fundamentals of gamification and how to apply game mechanics such as challenges, points, missions, rewards, storytelling, rules and feedback in educational contexts. They also explored how to adapt existing games for workshops and youth activities, how to create simple educational games, and how to design playful exercises focused on teamwork and problem solving. Working methods included non-formal education, simulations, group tasks, reflection sessions and intercultural exchange.

As a follow-up, all national teams were encouraged to share the results of the project in their organisations and communities by organising local activities and transferring the newly acquired methods into their everyday youth work practice.

Participation in this project strengthened the competences of our team, created new international partnerships and provided innovative tools that will be used in our future activities with young people.
