“Spread the fire”, training course in Spain
.
Training Course “Spread the Fire” held in A Guarda, Galicia gathered together 19 participants coming from Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Turkey, Portugal, France, United Kingdom, and Romania , and who are working on Youth in Actions projects. The TC aimed to give a practical meaning to visibility, dissemination and exploitation of the results (DEOR) of YiA projects, to discover how you can use social media to increase the visibility and DEOR of the projects, to share examples and experiences in the field, to be creative in discovering new methods of ensuring the visibility and DEOR of projects, and to make a practical DEOR activity in the beautiful A Guarda.
The facilitators Maria Victoria De La Cruz (Spain) and Ann Daniels (Belgium) used non-formal methods to create a good team spirit between the participants, to introduce basic information about visibility and DEOR, and to promote social media as a tool of working on visibility and DEOR of projects. It was created an encouraging space to share best practices in the field of visibility and DEOR of YiA projects, to discover and share any skills and abilities that the participants have in the field of working with youngsters regarding non-formal education, and to set the base for future collaborations.

Taking part at this SPREAD THE FIRE event, meeting international youth workers and living in Galicia for one week made me get more knowledge about how you can make an efficient promotion of the results of your project, encouraged me to be creative in DEOR activities, made me more aware of the importance of the intercultural sensitivity, and gave me the chance to learn about the council of A Guarda, getting in contact with young people and professional youth workers that came and met us along the process.
