VR and Ai in youth work, Germany 2024
The Learn Labor project in Berlin aimed to enhance youth work through the exploration of digital tools like Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Participants gained hands-on experience with these technologies to integrate them into their work with young people. The program took place from 7th to 24th of November in Berlin, Germany, and brought together participants from Romania, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Italy, Croatia, Estonia, Poland, Turkey, Serbia, and Germany.
Objectives:
- Explore Digital Tools: Participants experimented with various digital tools to improve communication and engagement in youth work, using non-formal methods like group discussions and workshops.
- Balance Digital and Offline Experiences: The project emphasized integrating mindfulness and well-being practices to maintain a healthy balance between digital and offline interactions.
- Develop Digital Tools for Engagement: Participants designed digital tools aimed at enhancing youth engagement, combining digital and offline elements.
- Foster Digital Literacy: Through interactive workshops, participants developed digital literacy while raising awareness of the mental health impacts of technology, using role-playing and scenario-based activities.

Ultimately, the project aimed to empower youth workers to use digital tools in ways that enhance their professional practice while also promoting the mental well-being of young people. By combining digital innovation with mindfulness practices and non-formal learning methods, the project created an opportunity for participants to explore new ways of supporting youth in a rapidly changing digital world.
This project was done with the support of the Erasmus+ Programm.
