Eco-preneurs, Slovakia 2025
Eco-Preneurs was an Erasmus+ youth mobility project that empowered young people from rural European areas to become environmental entrepreneurs. The project took place between the 14th and 20th of June 2025 in Kaluža, Slovakia, bringing together participants from Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Spain, Lithuania, and Slovakia.
Through a rich blend of informal education, interactive workshops, and immersive real-world experiences, participants developed essential skills in ecological topics, project management, and leadership. The program was structured around five thematic blocks: team-building, green business development, practical ecology, project promotion, and personal action planning. This structure provided a comprehensive and coherent learning journey, enabling participants to grow both personally and professionally.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in a variety of activities aimed at fostering collaboration, creativity, and practical problem-solving. Team-building sessions helped strengthen group dynamics and communication, creating a strong foundation for cooperative learning. Workshops on sustainable business development provided insights into how environmentally conscious ventures can be initiated and sustained. In the practical ecology sessions, participants had hands-on experiences with ecological practices, connecting theory with meaningful actions.
In addition to the core activities, the program included several study visits that offered insight into local environmental initiatives and sustainable practices in the region. One of the highlights was an activity held at a local school in Snina, where participants interacted with students, shared knowledge about environmental protection, and inspired younger generations to think about ecological responsibility.
By the end of the project, participants had created realistic action plans for environmental initiatives in their home communities, gained practical knowledge and experience, and established international networks that will support their ongoing development as environmental entrepreneurs. Eco-Preneurs demonstrated how empowering youth with green skills and leadership capacities can lead to meaningful and lasting change at the local level.
This project was implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme.
