TRUTH, Italy 2025
Our association took part in the Erasmus+ training course “TRUTH”, an international project focused on strengthening the role of youth workers in combating disinformation and promoting critical thinking among young people.
In today’s digital landscape, fake news, online manipulation, and misleading content spread rapidly and influence attitudes, behaviours, and even democratic processes. Young people are particularly exposed to these risks, often navigating complex online environments without sufficient guidance or structured support. As youth workers, we recognise the urgent need to respond to these challenges with effective educational tools and informed approaches.

The TRUTH training course brought together youth workers from different countries who share a common commitment to fostering media literacy and responsible digital engagement. The project provided a safe and inspiring space for learning, dialogue, and exchange of good practices. Participants explored how disinformation works, why it spreads, and how it can be addressed through non-formal education methods.
Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and practical activities, the training equipped participants with concrete tools and methodologies to help young people develop critical thinking skills, analyse online content more carefully, and better understand the impact of digital manipulation. The project also encouraged intercultural dialogue and international cooperation, reinforcing the importance of collective action in tackling global digital challenges.
By participating in TRUTH, our association strengthened its capacity in the field of media literacy and digital youth work. The competences gained during the project are now integrated into our local and international activities, contributing to our mission of empowering young people to become informed, responsible, and active digital citizens.
