„Promoting Minority Youth Empowerment in Europe”, Albania 2009
This training course was implemented by Albanian organization Walk Together and gathers 28 participants from 4 different regions: Participants from EU countries, SEE region, Mediterranean countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus (Albania, Macedonia, Armenia, Russia, Israel, Egypt, France, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Lithuania, Malta and Turkey) in a six day training course. Theme of the training was related to migration. It is migration that is changing the social structures of various countries, it is migration finally that is the main issue that youth and Non-Governmental organizations working with minorities have to face in their daily work. As a consequence of that, one of the aims of the training was the demographic problems and the role of the migration process in the development of the European multicultural societies.
The aim of the Training Course was to combine the minority youth inclusion models of different countries presented in activity and give the participants necessary skills, knowledge and develop positive attitudes towards work on social inclusion. Comparing different models of minority inclusion in European Union, South East Europe, Caucasus and Mediterranean country, the TC was a challenging experience and young people benefited a lot.
Methodology of training was based in non formal education encouraging participants to be active and fully participate in training contributing with their experience, expertise and creativity.
