SPARK – EU Youth Goals for shared youth work practices, Italy 2026
Between 31 July and 7 August 2026, Asociația Together Romania participated in the Erasmus+ training course “SPARK – EU Youth Goals for shared youth work practices”, held at Villa Bagnolo, near Cortona, Italy. The project brought together youth workers, educators and facilitators from different European countries to explore how the European Youth Goals can be transformed into practical tools for everyday youth work.
Throughout the mobility, participants took part in interactive workshops, case studies, reflection sessions, peer learning and co-creation activities based on non-formal education. The main topics included youth participation, inclusion, European citizenship and values, as well as quality and innovation in youth work.
A key objective of SPARK was to support youth workers in moving from understanding the EU Youth Goals as European policy priorities to using them as practical and adaptable tools in their local work. Special attention was given to the realities of small organisations and rural or peripheral communities, where accessible and flexible educational methodologies can have a significant impact.
The training also created a strong intercultural learning environment. Through international teamwork, the exchange of experiences and sharing of good practices, participants strengthened their professional competences while developing new ideas and approaches that can be transferred to their own organisations and communities.
For Asociația Together Romania, participation in SPARK was an opportunity to further develop the competences of its team and to discover new methodologies that can be integrated into local youth work activities. The knowledge, tools and experiences gained during the mobility will contribute to improving the quality of activities dedicated to young people and to strengthening European cooperation.
The project was designed to have a lasting impact beyond the mobility itself. Participants worked on transferable educational sessions and contributed to the development of the “EU Youth Goals Method Deck”, a practical collection of tools, exercises and educational ideas for youth workers and youth organisations.
SPARK was implemented by MAEK APS, with the support of the Italian Youth Agency, and brought together a network of European organisations working in the field of youth and non-formal education. Asociația Together Romania was one of the participating partner organisations.
