“Cartoons connecting people”, Poland 2010

“Cartoons connecting people” youth exchange is organized to gather young people from different countries in order to give them the opportunity to get to know each other and to gain the knowledge and skills about theatre and theatrical techniques. The participants will use their favorite cartoons characters in theatrical performance, created by them as a tool to talk about serious global problems such as global warming or greenhouse effect.

The main point of the exchange is to collect youth from many different backgrounds, especially disadvantaged youngsters from rural areas and small towns from countries such as: Finland, Greece, Estonia, Romania, Latvia and Poland.  They will take part in many activities in the field of theatre, like: pantomime, improvised theatre, stage design, dramaturgy, photography and scriptwriting workshops.

During 9 days of the exchange participants will explore their hidden talents, cultivate passions, strengthen their self-confidence, self – esteem, learn about cultural similarities and differences by working together on the final presentation that will be performed in the choldren’s home in Lublin. Moreover international cooperation will give young people chance to broaden their minds and make wider their horizon.
