GAMES:
Leapsa
“Leapsa” has a Romanian etymology. It means to hit someone. We think that could be a version of the “Tag” game. This game is played very often by children and it’s very popular anywhere Romania.
The children stand in a circle. One of them chooses the “leapsa” by a counting out rhyme:
“One, two, tell the true,
Three, four open the door,
Five, six, can you fix?
Seven, eight, sorry, I’m late,
Nine, ten you start the game! “
The child on which the last syllable falls becomes “leapsa”.
1.The Perching “Leapsa”
During the game, the children are free to move on the playing area. They must avoid the “leapsa” to touch them when they are on the ground. When they are in danger to be touched, they must perch on a bench, a box, a tree-stump and other objects on the playing area. The child who is touched before perching becomes “leapsa”.
2.”Leapsa” In Circle
The children are moving in a circle in the same direction repeating the following words: “He can’t catch me!” The child who is “leapsa” stays in the center of the circle. At the starting signal, all the children start to run on a limited area and the “leapsa” tries to touch one of them. If the one who is chased crouches in time, before being touched, he/she is safe. If the chaser touches him, and says “Leapsa!”, they change the roles and the game goes on!
Ratele si vanatorii/ Ducks and hunters
For this game you need a ball, two hunters and as many ducks you can get. The ducks will stay in a perimeter limited by any objects you find and consider suitable. The hunters stay on each side of the perimeter and try to hit the ducks. If the ball touches the duck, then she’s out. If the duck catches the ball before it hits the ground, then she has an extra life. It’s an interactive and energetic game.
Tara,tara vrem ostasi/
For this game you just need as many people you can get. You then divide them in two groups and start playing. The members of one group hold hands and call upon a member in the other team to be part of their group. If that person can break the chain, he wins and the two persons holding hands are either out, or they join the opposite team. If that person cannot break the chain, then she becomes part of the team who called upon her.
Telefonul fara fir/
To play this game you need only imaginationJ You can stay in a circle or a line. Someone starts by whispering a word or sentence to the one standing next to him so that no one can hear. The next one whispers whatever he hears to the other one standing next to him and so on. In the end, the last person has to say out loud what he understood. The final word is almost or never similar to the first one.
