“YOUTH FOR DEMOCRACY” – BURSA, TURKEY 2014
“4 beautiful and enthusiastic youngsters from Iasi, along with their leader, arrived on March 8, 2014 in Bursa, Turkey, for a new and exciting experience of European democracy. Project ”Youth for Democracy”, held for 7 days, offered the opportunity to the participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia, Romania and Turkey to pool their cultural values and interact harmoniously and cheerful during activities.
Each day of the project involved workshops with activities that have made the 25 participants to realize and to promote the ideas of personal and social values, the degree of tolerance towards minorities and how it is influenced by cultural and social perception, to practice their citizenship, responsibility and community involvement.

In the evening, each country brought their cultural aspects in scene by music, dancing, traditional food and relevant national information. Thus, each participant had contact with cultural diversity and found the same time, the common aspects that creates European identity.
Romanian team gained, at the end of the project time, new friends, a time well spent, valuable information, and most of all, a common language, in speaking and thinking with four other countries.”
