Council of Europe’s Compass Human Rights Education Programme, Wroclaw, Poland 2014
.
“Eight days of a great experience for every participant. There were 8 countries participating in this training : Romania, Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, Macedonia, UK, Italy and Bulgaria.
The trainers have organised various and entertaining activities for all of us. These activities helped us get to know each other and also it helped us on self development. Together, we managed to break stereotypes and listen to each point of view.

The main Council of Europe’s Compass Human Rights Education Programme objectives were:
– Training participants in using the Compass HRE Manual;
– Main-streaming human rights education in European youth work;
– Reviewing good practice in human rights education with young people in partner countries;
– Developing participants’ competences in human rights education;
– Increasing the quality of future Erasmus+ projects;
– Strengthening partnerships between partner organisations.
Training course was based on non-formal learning process. We worked in small groups, as individual and we were in the position of the trainers, we had to run activities having as support Compass HRE Manual.
This experience was helpful for us because we improved our English language, some of us have now new friends from another countries and we learned a lot about human rights.”
