“There are few common words that our group chose to describe this wonderful experience: inspiring, surprising, growing up, acceptance, knowledge.
We have travelled together from a familiar world to a completely new one. We left Romania without thinking that we would be back with such an incredible cultural baggage. We left nervous and we came back more confident and ready to share our experience.
The knowledge that we have gained and the soft skills that we have developed through non-formal education methods and the fact that we have been exposed to other people’s realities it was what shaped our humanity!
The experience itself, through its content, contributed to our development, both at cognitive and emotional stages. The whole experience was an opportunity to learn about other cultures, to observe different types of mentalities and behaviours. We managed to work in mixed teams, to listen to everyone’s ideas, to understand them and to help each other in order to fulfil our assignments.
It was about empathy, communication, teamwork, and having fun.
Our journey resembles the legend of Morskie Oko. We have created our path the same way the sea created its own path through the mountains, to see the world.”
