Differences between people and cultures make kind of wall, which separates minorities within countries. As a consequence there are ghettos creating stereotypes, misunderstanding and conflicts between locals and the minorities, as different cultures have different needs, habits, religion,… The Youth Exchange in Rhodope mountains aims to connect young people from different countries and let them experience how different attitudes lead to different results. The international compound of participants, and non-formal activities show in practice, how migrants coming to a new country feel, what problems they face, how to help them or why ever migration is not a bad thing.

The Youth Exchanges generally are short term projects using non-formal teaching methods – discussions, role playing, teamwork, simulations, evaluations, etc., which provide real experiencing and help to better understanding of social issues, because the participants learn through their own emotions.

The Youth Exchange Reloaded organized by Vzaimopomosht hosted youth between 18 – 30 yo from Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Greece, Italy and Bulgaria, mostly with no previous experience with work or studying in international environment. Such projects are great opportunity for youth to improve their English, professional and soft-skills, and prepare them for future job. Vzaimopomosht doesn’t play a role only as an organizer of such projects, but also sends participants to projects abroad. You can find more info on the facebook https://www.facebook.com/ydcma.org/.
