S.O.S., training course Bulgaria 2023

The project aims to develop youth workers’ skills and competencies related to first aid, risk management and managing difficult situations. Three experienced trainers will provide the participants with the necessary information, and will help them enhance their abilities through the methods of non formal and informal education. After the course, the youth workers will know more about protection of the people they work with, how to prevent risk situations, and how to make the other members of their organizations aware of these issues.

The training for youth workers under the “Erasmus+” program was held by “Youth development center-Mutual Aid” in the period 18-26.04.2023 in Pamporovo under the name “S.O.S.”. The organization holds a Quality Label for the program and this is the second training under it, the first being held in October 2022 under the title Media Shapers. There is still another training course to be held in August called “Eco Energy”, which will be held in the eco center “Green Europe” in the village of Srednogorovo and is aimed at living with zero waste.

The project “S.O.S.” is a continuation of projects “112”, “First aid kit” 1st and 2nd part under the Erasmus+ program, financed by the Human Resources Development Center. Its main idea is aimed at teaching young people how to act in crisis situations related to saving human life in case of need. The project aims to develop youth skills and competencies related to first aid, risk, management and difficult situations. Experienced coaches provided the participants with the necessary information and helped them improve their abilities through non-formal and informal education methods.
