Gender Equality in our community, Slovakia

The Erasmus+ mobility of youth workers on Gender Equality in our community took place in Snina, Slovakia. Participants from Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece, and Slovakia came together for meaningful discussions about the state of gender equality in our respective communities.

Project’s main goal was to combat gender inequality in our society, starting within our own little communities. “Gender Equality in Your community” focused on building inclusive and peaceful society by helping youngsters understand women’s rights, explore the phenomenon of gender discrimination, gain the ability to recognize stereotypes and prejudices against women, challenge such phenomena within their own communities and become empowered to implement human rights education projects in the local community in the near future.
Participants found out and analyze what causes gender inequality and how to prevent it, embrace the values necessary for the creation of a respectful community with zero discrimination.
