“Sounds of citizenship”, Boznia & Hertegovina 2009
The youth exchange „Sounds of Citizenship” took place in the period 12 – 22nd of March 2009 in Banja Luka – Prnjavor, Bosnia & Herzegovina, where 5 members of our association together with 25 participants from countries of the European Union and South as Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Macedonia and the hosts of this project Bosnia & Herzegovina, took part. The project has been organized with much professionalism by „Zdravo da ste” omladinski centar/ “Hi neighbor” Youth Centre, the activities being unfolded under the guidance and surveillance of three leaders.
The youngsters had the occasion to know each other during the first days through games about knowing each other and games of trust but also through the time spend together, and then to develop their activities in 3 groups that have been formed, one for Audio, one for Video and the third for News (workshops AUDIO/ VISUAL/ NEWS). The places where the activities unfolded were very well chosen, in the center of the city (The Youth House from Banja Luka, and the Culture House from Prnjavor), therefore the participants had the occasion to explore the city and learn about the culture and traditions and everything which is most beautiful in a country which is different from their home town. 
The activities have been very well thought therefore the participants managed to know each other, to exchange information related to their countries, what does “citizenship” mean for each one of them, to work together and to make friends. An important phase of the project was the international cultural evening where all the participants had the occasion to present their country, their traditional food, their music, the organization, but also the day when they visited the most important NGO’s from the city, among them the organization “Zdravo da ste”.
The project ended with the “final event” where the movie, the radio show which have been realized during this project, but also the concert sustained by the band “big fat Ponnies”, formed by the participants at this project, who sustained an extraordinary show at which took part an impressive number of members of the local community and also local press representatives.
