Youth power in SM, Slovakia 2023

The main goal of this project was to highlight the possibilities of using social networks by young people as a tool of the present, for searching for information, maintaining contacts, and sharing information of any kind, promoting a good idea, or a good “thing”. With the project, we wanted to showcase good examples of behavior and activities of young people on social networks in different countries, but at the same time, inform participants about the risks of dependence on social networks and misinformation.

We aimed to present our project and promote the Erasmus+ program on several modern social platforms by creating fan profiles. Through the project, we aimed to motivate young people to view social networks not only as a platform through which they can communicate with their classmates and share photos and “memes”, but also as a tool to fulfill their goals and become more entrepreneurial, or to help find solutions to problems in their home communities.

Youth Exchange: Youth Power in Social Media brought together 30 young people, for 8 days in Kaluža, Slovakia. Participants came from 6 countries and these countries differ in their cultures and have different experiences and realities regarding the project. The main methods of the project were non-formal learning methods, which also included intercultural learning activities. The primary impact was on project participants, secondary on the community, and tertiary on the participating organizations.

This project was done with the support of the Erasmus+ Programm.
