Fight fake news in social media, Spain 2024

The FAKE NEWS project, held in Bilbao, Spain, from January 8th to 12th, 2024, marked a milestone in combating misinformation on social media. With 34 dedicated youth workers from diverse countries, the initiative deepened insights into fake news issues, fostering a global collaboration against its spread.
The project enhanced participants’ competences, equipping them to identify and counteract fake news effectively. By emphasizing resilience in the face of misinformation, it addressed the vulnerability of youth to manipulative tactics.

A commendable aspect was the awareness raised about the detrimental impact of fake news on young minds. The FAKE NEWS project contributed significantly to fortifying the integrity of information, protecting the youth from potential harm.
Special recognition goes to the AISD Association for exceptional hosting. Their dedication and meticulous planning created a conducive environment, ensuring the success of the project. From logistics to fostering a welcoming atmosphere, the AISD Association played a pivotal role in enriching the overall experience for all participants.
In essence, the FAKE NEWS project, with its international collaboration and AISD Association’s outstanding hosting, made a lasting impact in the fight against misinformation.
