La Familia, Spain 2024
From October 17 to 24, 2024, we had the privilege of participating in the La Familia partnership-building activity in Spain, a key initiative under Erasmus+ that brought together 20 youth workers representing 15 organizations from various European countries. This week-long program created a collaborative and inspiring space for youth professionals to connect, plan, and strengthen the future of youth work across borders.
Throughout the activity, we engaged in sessions that emphasized future project development, innovative collaboration strategies, and the establishment of long-term partnerships. Together, we explored a range of funding options to support our ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring our initiatives can grow sustainably and make a meaningful impact. Discussions also highlighted the importance of addressing local needs through global cooperation, helping us see our work through a broader, interconnected lens.
A central component of La Familia was the sharing of best practices and personal experiences, allowing us to learn directly from each other’s challenges and successes. This exchange was invaluable, as it provided practical insights and new approaches that we’re excited to integrate into our work. We had the chance to showcase our own projects and gather feedback, receiving ideas on enhancing our current programs, from community engagement strategies to digital tools for project management.

Through La Familia, we strengthened a network of like-minded organizations and individuals who share a passion for positive youth development. The connections we made and the plans we set will fuel new collaborations aimed at addressing critical youth needs—locally and beyond. This partnership-building experience reaffirmed our dedication to creating impactful, youth-centered projects that empower young people and provide them with opportunities for growth and development.
With this fresh perspective, we’re more energized than ever to bring these insights into our projects, focusing on community building, skill development, and cultural exchange. As we look forward to the next steps, we’re excited to launch new initiatives that reflect the inspiration and knowledge gained from La Familia, making a difference in the lives of young people across Europe.
This project was done with the support of the Erasmus+ Programm.
