The future starts with YOU(th), youth exchange 2016

The youth exchange took place in Traisteni, Romania and include 4 promoters from Italy, Turkey, Slovakia and of course, Romania. From each country there were 6 participants and one leader so in total 20 youngsters and 4 leaders for a 7 days project using non-formal education to achieve the proposed objectives. The overall objective was to actively involve 100 young people in new activities that use non-formal methods organized by local NGO sector. The specific objectives were the understanding and promote the concept of voluntary, finding more efficient ways to attract youth in extracurricular activities that contribute to the personal development of young people. Like non-formal methods we used Open Cafe, brainstorming, games, out-door activities, learning by doing, debates, self-evaluating, etc.

The context of the project start in summer 2011 in other youth exchange about volunteerism so we wanted to continue the work that we start and to bring some more results on this issue like: a small leaflet about possible activities which can be implemented in youth centers, new projects on local and European levels, a final show in Traisteni (Valea Doftanei) community, information campaign about the final results in the 4 communities of each organization, etc. The participants were be from 17 to 25 years old and we include also 5 youngsters with fewer opportunities.
