Youth@Work, Erasmus+ youth exchange
The mobility took place in Traisteni, Romania, between the 16th and 23rd of March 2024 and aims to help youth find their way through the labour market. It consists of general information regarding the preparation of a quality CV, understanding gender stereotypes connected with certain jobs to create an inclusive environment at the workplace, simulation of a job interview, and a discussion about the local realities connected with youth unemployment for the five EU countries participating in the project: Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Poland, and Slovakia.

The project aimed to prepare young people for the labor market, i.e., equipping them with tools to enable them to make well-grounded (responsible) choices in terms of preparation and orientation to a particular career, as well as their ability with certain essential competences to enter the labor market. The choice of this theme was not a coincidence, given the European and national context regarding the employability of young people. Our project came as a solution regarding a better understanding and response to the needs of their communities by using non-formal learning methods for young people to help increase their employability. The project supported them through dedicated activities to identify key competencies for each participant, helped with writing a CV, provided advice on online or real interviews. The program of activities included personal development and team-building activities, presentations on issues related to the topic, intercultural evenings, workshops, and joint activities with young people from the local high school.
One of the main results were the Youth@work manual and a short video presentation of the project.
This project was done with the support of the Erasmus+ Programm under 2023 accreditation: 2023-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000134997.
