.
In the current era, where egoism is dangerously rising, the purpose of this project was to impress the meaning of solidarity and volunteerism among people. Hence, project aims to inform the professionals in youth related work about the meaning of volunteerism and importance of altruism in social relationships among people. Therefore, increasing the communication among people, informing them about volunteerism, activating them in being volunteers for the Europe and the world are indispensably important. With the newest technological innovations in our world, youth started to have both online and offline identities.
This training course has a scope not only on offline world but also the online world, especially on social media. The process of informing youth would go through social media that youth finds very useful and interesting; such as social networks (especially Facebook), e-magazines, blogs, forums, e-lists, television and radio programs and etc… Therefore, it was vital that experts in the youth field must be knowledgeable about these social media, their effects on youth and how to utilize them for increasing awareness on volunteerism. Moreover, with social media, we could connect with different social groups that are already working on volunteerism on local and international levels. With people’ creativity, the topic would be represented interesting, which would increase the visibility, quality and importance of this project for people of European Union, and consequently for the rest of the world. Dissemination of volunteerism is one of the biggest concerns of the European Union where youth is one of the most important societies that should be informed about volunteerism.
