“Accepta, Invata, Progreseaza!”, Campina 2012

.

This project is a youth initiative of Together Romania Association from Campina. Our association is not on the first project of this kind that we carry. In 2008 we carried out a similar project, a National Youth Initiative, which has as result a photo and video art center artIMAGEcentre, an active center even now after 4 years of operation.

The project was based on the development and reactivation of youth involvement in activities supported by clubs, associations and foundations from the local community (Campina, Romania). The project was designed by young people for young people, reflecting the interests and needs of participants. Wishing the young and locally identified needs, this project was born. One of the main problems identified was the lack of increasingly acute involvement of young people in local youth dedicated activities, not only in our center but also other centers (local NGOs, Kids Club, sports clubs and so on).

Activities undertaken have used different non-formal education methods, depending on the activity. They had clear objectives, well correlated with the activity and were focused on learning, giving young people the opportunity for reflection and self-evaluation. The most used methods: game, open space, photo-voice, living library, transcend, learning by doing, interview, assessment, quiz, etc.

This site is the main result of this project was a website that was promoted at local, regional, national and European level. For any information regarding this project or the site, please see the web page www.campinango.wordpress.com
