AVE – Active Volunteers for Europe!
This project was a result of a YiA project (training course) organized by our association. The project was a youth exchange, took place in Valea Doftanei, Romania and involved 20 participants and 5 leaders from 5 countries: Bulgaria, Italy, Slovakia, Romania and Turkey.
The main theme proposed by the
youngsters who design this project was active European citizenship through young volunteers; so during 7 days of activities, we learned, spoke and promoted the rights and duties as EU citizen and in the meantime we promoted the volunteering actions.
All the activities used non-formal education as active listening, brainstorming, team-building, out-door activities, games (trust games, role games, funny games, intercultural games, evaluation by games, etc.), learning by doing, open cafe, debates, etc. By all this methods we wanted to develop new skills and abilities for youngsters in order to help them to develop at personal and professional level.
Also, on long-term, we want young people to act as active citizens in the community, to develop projects to help the local community and youth centers to become more active with activities dedicated to the needs and demands of young people.
HERE you can see some impressions about this experience directly from participants!
This project was financed by European Union, under Erasmus+ Programm.
