Arts of Citizenship, youth exchange 2016
.
.
This was a youth exchange project in which participated 5 partner organizations for 5 countries (Romania, Italy,Turkey, Slovakia and Spain) and each partner involved 4 participants and 1 youth leader. The activity was held in Traisteni, Romania from 18 to 24 June 2016. Together Romania – was main applicant and leader of the project. All other partners were sending and cooperated and supported in successful implementation of the project.
The main objective of the project was to raise the desire of becoming active citizens among young Europeans (by new local and European projects developed by us and/or our partners and stakeholders), informing them about the meaning and concrete practice of volunteering (with concretely activities based on non-formal and informal education as: final event in local community prepared by the participants, 5 dissemination meetings organized by each organization involved, activities in local youth centers), based on the direct experience of civic and voluntary organizations. The project allowed us and our partners to develop a better understanding of own actions in a European framework and participants to experiment a new form of informal learning.

The youth exchange was design as an open space of mutual learning, based on non formal education and the experiential learning methodologies applied under the monitoring and the support of the leaders team. Theory and practical workshop was mixed during all the activity as well space for participants to discuss and to express their ideas will be provided. Experiential learning methodology was done to make participants easy engaged and be main actor of the activity. Participants were actively involved in their own learning process. Main methods that were used: brainstorming, small working groups, simulation exercise, learning by doing workshops, role play, theater, debate, self reflection, question and answer session etc.
Please see HERE the movie of the project done by participants.
The project was financed by European Union under ERASMUS + Programm.
