artIMAGEcenter – cinema art center
Campina 2008 – 2009
The project “artIMAGEcenter” took birth at the initiative of youth with passion towards the cinematographic art, active members of the association. Besides their passion for learning, experiencing and realizing short movies or clips, the members of the association wanted to pull a warning signal upon four main themes (discrimination, family violence, environment protection and active citizenship), themes concerning the youth and addressed to all age categories. Thus, this project with a length of 10 months was transformed into a very active cinematographic art center with more and more members increasingly passionate.
During the 10 months of intense activities, the 10 young involved in the project, together with their coordinator, took part in turns (according to the well established program) at purchasing the equipment, arranging the studio, theoretical and practical courses, writing the scripts, realizing the movies and at the end promoting the movies in the local community. We consider the project being of real success among the young, contributing at their personal development by their acquiring of new knowledge within the domain, achieving all the initial objectives. The total budget of the project was 8811,42 EUR from with EC financed 7950 EUR.
