GreenVibe, Erasmus+ youth exchange

Young people from Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania gathered in Valea Doftanei for the GreenVibe Youth Exchange, organized by Together Romania Association under our Erasmus+ Accreditation (2025-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000297151). This activity represented the second mobility implemented within our accreditation and brought together 26 motivated young people interested in sustainability, environmental protection, and active participation in their communities.

The mobility was designed as a non-formal learning experience, combining educational, practical, and intercultural elements. Participants explored key topics such as circular economy, upcycling, recycling, biodiversity, and ecosystem awareness through interactive workshops, group work, reflection sessions, and outdoor learning activities, making use of the natural environment of the Carpathian area.

A strong focus was placed on learning by doing and peer-to-peer exchange, encouraging participants to actively contribute, share experiences from their local contexts, and develop practical competences. The programme also included cultural evenings, which promoted intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among participants.

An important component of the project was the connection with the local community. Participants organized and facilitated activities for students from Energetic Technological High School in Câmpina and “Carol I” Technological High School in Valea Doftanei, promoting environmental awareness and encouraging young people to adopt more sustainable behaviours.

In addition, the group took part in a study visit to Ateliere Fără Frontiere, where participants discovered concrete examples of social entrepreneurship and circular economy in practice, gaining inspiration for future initiatives.

Overall, the GreenVibe Youth Exchange contributed to the development of participants’ competences, including teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and environmental responsibility, while fostering a sense of initiative and active citizenship. The activity had a positive impact both on participants and on the local community, supporting the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and our accreditation strategy.

As tangible outcomes, the project led to the creation of a Greenvibe action manual, developed as an educational resource.
