Youth with Employability Soft Skills – YESS!

.

The project envisaged socio-economic transformation of the (urban and rural) youth, women and men from a status of inactive, unemployment and vulnerability to a product of employability. It aims to create vocational opportunities to the disadvantaged community in the 12 villages of Campina area by developing flexible skills, training and placement services in consonance with the markets’ needs and demands and prepare them to face the new economic challenges.

The statistics show that unemployment among young people is increasing across Europe, where in several countries it has even reached more than 40%. What can young people do to increase their employability then? How are they going to find a job? How are they going to effectively present themselves in the labor market and succeed? These were just some of the questions, which the project together with the youth answers to.
The YESS project tackled these problems with implementing a series of info seminars and workshops that helped young people to increase their employability and lobbied for the new Romanian law (Law 78/2014) regarding the recognition of voluntary work and non-formal education as work experience. The project achieved and promoted gender equality and eliminate all forms of discrimination.

The main result of this project is a training module to increase the soft skills competences regarding employability. This module can be downloaded from HERE and can be use also in other similar projects, so feel free to use it for free and if you have some questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.
