Fight against poverty through art – youth exchange, Campina 2010

Poverty is present in more and more countries regardless the degree of civilization and can be seen everywhere and the fight against poverty is a subject that should concerns us all. This project is rooted in another project, an informational campaign on youth unemployment, at European level, a project that recently ended (www.start4art.net).
The project wants to be a continuation of the started discussions, a debate in a multilateral framework and cultural awareness of negative effects on youngsters from poor backgrounds, stopping social exclusion and finding solutions to eradicate poverty and integrate young people with fewer opportunities in society, an active and benefic implication for both parties. For all this, 20 youngsters accompanied by 5 youth leaders from 4 countries (Lithuania, Slovenia, Italy and Romania) will meet in Câmpina for 7 days of activities upon non-formal education, intercultural, workshops activities (Internet, photo, video), in order to realize in the end a photo exhibition and a short film with the project theme title and a website where all the photos, the movie and many other materials and information discussed and debated by youngsters will be posted.
