Youth School of Health, youth exchange 2012

The idea of this project started last year during a youth exchange organized by our association. The main theme of this project was promoting a healthy life by sport activities. The project title, decided by the youngsters was “Youth School of Health”. The project took place in Valea Doftanei village, Romania and involved 20 young participants from five EU countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Turkey and Italy). Each group had one leader.
The youth exchange lied during 7 days and in this period we use different kinds of non formal education as brainstorming, learning by doing, debates, games, energizers, workshops, etc. All the promoters has been involved in each stage of the project and we focus more on the active participation of the youngsters. The activity undertaken was well balanced day by day and contribute to the personal development of the youngsters as individual and as a group. Each group prepared one activity during the program and all the activities were related to the subject. As a final result we print out a small brochure with 25 interactive sport activities and we organised one sport “contest” between the participants and the local youngsters: cross, football, volley and table tennis.
